Labels for AIMO T200 and T310 Label Printers
The labels in this category have been selected for use with the AIMO T200 and AIMO T310 label printers. The range includes direct thermal paper labels, thermal transfer paper labels and durable synthetic labels for more demanding applications.
The printers have slightly different maximum print widths. To ensure that every label in this combined category is suitable for both models, we have used the AIMO T310’s maximum print width of 106mm.
Compatible rolls have an overall media width between 20mm and 115mm, a 25mm (1") core and a maximum outside roll diameter of 127mm (5").
Direct Thermal Labels
Direct thermal labels have a heat-sensitive surface that reacts with the printer’s printhead. They do not require ink, toner or a thermal transfer ribbon.
These labels provide a convenient and economical option for short- to medium-term applications such as:
- Shipping and courier labels
- Address and dispatch labels
- Barcode and tracking labels
- Retail and price labels
- Parcel identification
- Temporary stock labels
- General warehouse labelling
The printer must be set to direct thermal mode when using this type of label.
Thermal Transfer Paper Labels
Thermal transfer labels are printed using a thermal transfer ribbon. Heat from the printhead transfers ink from the ribbon onto the label surface, producing a more durable and longer-lasting printed image than standard direct thermal printing.
Thermal transfer paper labels are suitable for applications including:
- Product and packaging labels
- Stock and inventory identification
- Warehouse and racking labels
- Barcode and QR-code labels
- Pallet and logistics labels
- Retail and price labels
- Long-term general identification
A suitable ribbon must be installed, and the printer must be configured for thermal transfer printing.
Synthetic Labels
Synthetic labels provide greater durability than standard paper labels and are suitable for applications involving moisture, abrasion, oils, chemicals or frequent handling. The precise level of resistance will depend on the label material, adhesive and ribbon selected.
Synthetic labels are commonly used for:
- Asset identification
- Industrial and manufacturing labels
- Electrical component labels
- Outdoor and exposed applications
- Chemical and drum labels
- Durable warehouse labels
- Product identification
- Long-term barcode tracking
Most synthetic labels require thermal transfer printing using a compatible wax-resin or resin ribbon. The correct ribbon should always be matched to the chosen synthetic material.
Compatible Label-Roll Dimensions
Labels suitable for both the AIMO T200 and T310 should meet the following requirements:
- Printing method: direct thermal or thermal transfer
- Shared maximum print width: 106mm
- Overall media width: 20mm to 115mm
- Roll core diameter: 25mm (1")
- Maximum outside roll diameter: 127mm (5")
The overall media width includes both the label and its backing paper. Because the backing paper is normally slightly wider than the label, you should measure the complete roll width rather than only the label itself.
Although media up to 115mm wide can pass through the printers, the printed design must remain within the shared maximum printable width of 106mm.
Choosing the Correct Labels and Ribbon
Choose direct thermal labels when you require a simple, ribbon-free option for shipping or other relatively short-term applications.
Choose thermal transfer paper labels when the printed information needs to remain readable for longer or withstand more handling. For wet, abrasive or otherwise demanding conditions, a synthetic label may be the better choice.
When using thermal transfer paper or synthetic labels, the ribbon must be compatible with the label material. Wax ribbons are generally used with paper labels, while wax-resin or resin ribbons may be needed for coated paper and synthetic materials.
If you are unsure which labels or ribbons to order, please contact us with your printer model, required label dimensions and details of the application. Our team will be happy to recommend a suitable combination.
