Labels Compatible with the iDPRT iE2X Label Printer
The labels in this category have been selected for use with the iDPRT iE2X label printer. The range includes direct thermal paper labels, paper thermal transfer labels and durable synthetic labels for more demanding applications.
Compatible label rolls must have an overall media width between 20mm and 60mm, a 25mm (1") core and a maximum outside diameter of 127mm (5"). The maximum printable width used for this category is 54mm.
Direct Thermal Labels
The iDPRT iE2X can print onto heat-sensitive direct thermal labels without using ink, toner or a thermal transfer ribbon.

Paper Thermal Transfer Labels
Paper thermal transfer labels are printed using a compatible thermal transfer ribbon. Heat from the printhead transfers ink from the ribbon onto the label surface, producing a more durable and longer-lasting image than standard direct thermal printing.

Labels in this category are selected according to the following requirements:

The overall media width includes the label and its backing paper. Because the backing paper is normally slightly wider than the label itself, you should measure the complete roll width rather than only the face of the label.
The printed design must remain within the maximum printable width of 54mm, even when the total backing-paper width is greater.
Choosing the Correct Labels
Choose direct thermal labels for ribbon-free printing and relatively short-term applications. Choose paper thermal transfer labels when the print must remain readable for longer or withstand additional handling.
For applications involving water, abrasion, oils, chemicals or outdoor exposure, a synthetic thermal transfer label may be the most suitable option. Always check the individual material specification to confirm that it provides the required level of resistance.
