Synthetic Labels for the iDPRT iT888 Printer
Our synthetic thermal transfer labels are compatible with the iDPRT iT888 label printer and are designed for applications requiring greater durability than standard paper labels.
Available materials include polypropylene, polyester and other specialist synthetic options. Depending on the material selected, these labels can provide resistance to water, oils, chemicals, tearing, abrasion and temperature changes.
The iT888 accepts media widths between 25mm and 118mm, including the label and backing paper. The maximum media width for this category is 118mm.
Compatible Label-Roll Specifications
Synthetic labels in this category are selected according to the following printer requirements:

Media width includes both the label and its backing paper. Label artwork must remain within the printer’s maximum printable width of 108mm.
Polypropylene Labels
Polypropylene labels offer good resistance to moisture, oils and general handling while remaining flexible and lightweight. They are suitable for product labelling, packaging, healthcare, warehouse and other applications where paper labels may not provide sufficient durability.
Polyester Labels
Polyester labels provide excellent dimensional stability and resistance to tearing, abrasion, chemicals and temperature changes. They are particularly suitable for long-term identification and demanding industrial applications.

Choosing the Correct Thermal Transfer Ribbon
Synthetic labels normally require a wax-resin or full-resin thermal transfer ribbon. Wax-resin ribbons offer a balance between print quality, durability and cost, while resin ribbons provide increased resistance to chemicals, scratching, moisture and demanding environmental conditions.
The correct ribbon depends on the synthetic face material and the conditions in which the finished label will be used. The ribbon should also be wider than the label and its backing paper to help protect the printer’s printhead.
